Information

Who we are

The ‘Ethical AI in Education’ approach and UKEducation.ai digital resource is a project owned, funded and run by UK Education Research and Innovation (UKERI), as part of its longstanding partnership work with diocese, local authorities, individual schools & academies, and academy trusts.

History

UKEducation.ai uses a modern iteration of a change management approach that was first conceived at the start of the technology revolution in the early 1990’s by the UK Education Partnership – later to become UK Education Research and Innovation Ltd. (UKERI) – and has since grown to encompass a contemporary and fully updated model, applicable to a range of contexts – including the implementation ‘Ethical AI in Education’.

The approach and resources on this web site draw from an ever-developing UKERI specialism in training and development of a form easily accessible to busy staff working in an increasingly complex and demanding sector.

Please do contact us if you would like to explore its use further in your own context – whether as an individual institution or a group of schools or academies.

Carbon Footprint

UKERI seek to minimise their carbon footprint in all business activities, and this applies equally to the Assurance Governance approach and this web site.

Technology used to store and present learning resources is selected on the basis of its energy efficiency. Predominantly we use high-end modern desktop computers and remote servers with low-end power-consuming components.

The web site and many learning resources are hosted on a server platform managed by IONOS Group PLC, a respected hosting provider verified by the Green Web Foundation. See here for further information.

All members of staff working under UKERI’s control carry DBS level clearance. Further information is available on request (use the contact form).

Charity Work

UKERI has actively worked with multiple charities (large and small) over the course of its history, and we particularly welcome approaches for help from education and care charities to whom we offer subsidised support on a case-by-case basis.
